I turned it off immediately believing if production values are this bad it probably doesn't warrant my time. Washingtion?

New Touchdown Jesus Rendering
New Touchdown Jesus Rendering
The "Touchdown Jesus" statue in Ohio was engulfed in flames, and burned to the ground after a lightning strike in June 2010. The six-story-tall depiction of Jesus Christ with his arms raised stood in front of Solid Rock Church along Interstate 75 in Monroe, just north of Cincinnati.
An artist has now released a rendering of how the new statue may appear. It would be titled, "Touchdown Tebow." I'm indifferent with Tim Tebow, although I believe his NFL career at this point is slightly overrated. We'll wait and see how his entire career unfolds, but every one around him in the Denver Bronco's organization deserves some credit for their turn-around this year. However, this statue is a lot of praise dedicated to an individual man, and may be overdoing it a bit.

Several days back, scientists announced the discovery of a planet in the habitable zone called Kepler-22b. It is located about 600 light-years away, orbiting a sun-like star. If the greenhouse effect operates there similarly to how it does on Earth, the average surface temperature on Kepler-22b would be 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius).
This is only the beginning, considering the Kepler spacecraft has already detected more than 1,000 exoplanets. The far more interesting discovery will be the determination of the planet's chemical make-up.
There is new software being creating to assist with the rendering of exoplanets, but in the meantime here's an artist's rendition of what the planet may look like.

A spoof off Photos We've Seen (a lot). I see hundreds of photos of people's pets under their Christmas Tree, especially cats. So, Jimmy the Opossum took a minute from his day to pose from my Christmas Tree. Now isn't that a lot better than seeing a cat that looks like every other cat under the tree?

Three Sad Updates

On 11/25/11, I posted "Flying Pig (Journal)" to detail how I was trying to train for the Flying Pig Marathon by running for 12 miles. The next day I ran 3.1 miles. Ever since I have been dehabilitated with an injury in my left ankle.
Sad.

After I posted "Who is Little Debbie?" on 12/02/11, I was watching the first season of Dexter. In one scene he reaches into a drawer, and says something along the lines of Little Debbie's makes the world a better place. Something like that.
With this as my ammunition, I thought it would be a good idea to make the world a better place by sharing my Little Debbies. So, I purchased several boxes of Little Debbie at my local grocery store, unpackaged them, put four of them in a Pyrex tray, and brought them to a party.
Through the first couple hours, the Debbies remained uneaten. That was until my friend Peter ate the first Debbie. I announced there were only 3 Debbies left. Magic! The next time I checked the tray there was only 1 left. That is a 75% probability that a Debbie will be eaten. 100% if you consider that I ate the last Debbie on my way home.
Sad.

I'm about to watch the series "Quantum Leap" on Netflix for the third time.

Is It Old?
Is It Old?
Everyone likes to share interesting links. Sometimes I see a span of a month between one person posting an amusing link and another. On Facebook, I often see people late to the game, and it doesn't even seem relevant to still share the link since everyone has seen it.
There's a site I saw in Time that tries to address this issue. I haven't really tried it out because I don't share much outside content, but if you do please let me know about your experience.
I tested it on a site and a sub-site I've seen a hundred times titled, "Two Lesbians Raised A Baby And This Is What They Got." It's a good story.

The Sketchpad
The Sketchpad

As stated, The Sketchpad will be undergoing some changes as I publish my online collection of portfolio work. I want the look to be consistent across all media. Some changes may only be temporary. Header is a little large, but I'm stuck with the pixel space.
Changes usually take some time to adjust to, so please bear with me. Sometimes you know as soon as you see them you will always hate them. Just ask Gap.
