Donut Diet

From the guy who brought you the KFC Popcorn Chicken Diet, comes the Donut Diet. I couldn't pass up this great offer for messed-up Kroger donuts.

This new diet (consisting of three donuts a day) is very similar to the KFC Diet in that it makes me so sick to my stomach that I don't want to eat anything else. I developing a nice stomach pouch around my skinny frame.

Miranda's Signs

I had posted the vehicle and some of the other rebranding for Miranda's. I'm excited to see this one implemented--a street sign arrow fabricated to extend from the wall with a hanging double-sided banner. I'll post photos when it is up. I didn't create the Miranda's logo, but I really enjoy working with them.

Once Miranda's Ice Cream adds siren and strobe lights, they'll be open for business--ice cream served out of the back of the Emergency Ice Cream Relief vehicle.

Election Yard Signs

Something to remember about coroplast yard signs are they are usually see-through in sunlight. When I was driving to work this morning I saw an election sign that looked more like a DO NOT vote for this guy because of the big "X" going through the sign. Here is a quick mock-up...

Dyslexia Error

This probably isn't the article you want to make a typo in the headline that makes it read like a stutterer. Actually a typo is something you never want to see on a professional piece because it devalues the entire work. Gte me?

The community press article states, "Students with dyslexia usually experience difficulties with specific language skills, particulary reading, but also with SPELLING, WRITING, and PRONOUNCING WORDS." It's ironic the first word in the headline is misspelled.

Pixar's Brave

"Brave" is the 13th-straight Pixar release to open at No. 1 since "Toy Story" launched Hollywood's age of computer animation in 1995.

Saw Disney Pixar's Brave 3-D. I have a great love for digital animation. There is no studio better at formulating a great story with superb animation like Pixar. Their film short, La Luna, was another sweet, clever animation preceding the film.

I can understand critic's complaints that the story is safe (by Pixar's standards), and similar to many Disney princess movies (and Beauty and the Beast). However, the film is enjoyable, funny, smart, and incredibly animated. I highly recommend seeing it.

SIDE NOTE:
Lord Dingwall may be my favorite digitally animated character ever.

Yoko Ono ART

Yahoo News showcases a reprisal of Yoko Ono's 1966 work, To The Light, and brings up the age-old debate "Is it art?" I say so! Whether you understand it, connect to it, or like it is another story.

Yoko Ono is expressing her ideas and beliefs through these artistic exhibitions, thought up in the 60's. They aren't necessarily straight-forward, but neither is the person--in personality, music and style.

The pieces have a spatial composition throughout the gallery that shows thought and creativity went into their existence. The titles will assist those struggling to understand her concepts such is the case of "Three Mounds". Three identical mounds of earth are separated on the floor with the titles Country A, Country B and Country C in front of the classic War Is Over poster she made with John Lennon.

This brings up the point that these are old ideas, which don't have the same impact they may have had in the 60's. She's relying on nostalgia, which is probably great for her financial cause, but fails as evolutionary/revolutionary #9 art. It's art... just a little expired.

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 18: A piece of work entitled 'Three Mounds' by Yoko Ono is displayed at the Serpentine Gallery on June 18, 2012 in London, England. The piece makes up part of an exhibition of the artists work which is currently on show at the Serpentine Gallery which opens from June 19 until September 9, 2012. The show is part of the London 2012 festival, a twelve week UK wide celebration of artists work from across the world.

Nathan Spotts's Portfolio

If you "Like" Adobe Creative Suite on Facebook, you saw these beautiful, imaginative landscapes by Nathan Spotts. I have written before I have always loved artist's renderings of distant worlds, but this is a surreal perspective of our own existing world.

Homearama Art

I've been pushing Yvonne's art lately because I know she has the skill, love and drive to be successful. I am pleased to announce she has been accepted into a contemporary art gallery, and had her artwork we produced displayed at Homearama. Nice job!

Have to post this...a vinyl wall wrap we installed over the weekend for KOI Auto Parts in Newport, KY designed by ShinyBoy Kramer. It really brought the interior to life!

What Do You Want From Me?

I heard this song a long time (1997) ago at Cincinnati's Party in the Park, and every once in a while it pops back up in my head. I like the chorus. It sounds like New Wave, or New Order, which makes sense since it's made up of some of its members.

Kenmore Washer/Dryer

I told my brother I loved the look of his old washer and dryer's interface. He thought I was poking fun, but I think they are a fun throwback. Bonus, they still work after all these years.

The Last of Us (Gameplay)

The Last of Us (PS3) Best looking game I've seen at E3 so far... Naughty Dog studios, makers of the Uncharted series, are incredible.

I've read in articles the studio pushes themselves to do the most complicated effects to push the console to its limits, including fire, water, and sand dynamics. Their storylines, attention to details, and gameplay are amazing.

Ollie's Trolley Over-The-Rhine

Took this shot a while back. I had always loved the historic feel of the area, and the vintage trolley of Ollie's Trolley in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. However, I have never tried the food.
