So many times I see designs compromised by incorrectly using different types of black that lead to ghosting. Have you ever printed out a file and noticed the background black is not the same level as your image's black? That's because their CMYK (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black) make-ups are probably different. When available, use an eyedropper tool to match background blacks with image blacks. I put together this graphic quickly to sort of show what I'm babbling about...

Color is a major consideration in any Web design. Whether for an individual, small company, or major corporation, color scheme is one of the most significant factors in the overall look and appearance of a website. In some cases, the designer may have the sole discretion in making color choices, but many times a color scheme has already been established and needs to be followed. In situations where a company already has a strong brand, color usage for the website can either build or take away from this.

The London Underground

Some may see this as a confusing mess, a rainbow of colors, or a useful map. I suppose I see it as all the above, but I also see it as a beautiful piece of informational art and design (like most designers). I love the simplicity of something so complicated. The grid layout, angles, and usefulness are things of beauty.
