I posted a while back that it seems like every week a new discovery is made about historically significant pieces of art, whether it be restoring, x-rays, or under coverings. Mona Lisa gets a new perspective...

Mona Lisa Remix by Graphic Nothing

Mona Lisa Remix by Graphic Nothing |
from Some Prints
Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Mona Lisa' reduced and remixed down into 140 exact circles of color. A picture about the illusion of familiarity. Makes little sense close up. Makes every sense from the other side of the room. (Inspired by the thumbnails on the Louvre website - Sept 2009)

Grafitti Mustache
Designs We've Seen (a lot) Series: 04/20/11
Graffiti Mustache
More like graffiti we've seen a lot...
We love to draw goatees and mustaches on faces. We are ususally blindly "defacing" photos for fun, but Marcel Duchamp was trying to make an artisitc statement by "re-facing" the Mona Lisa in his work "L.H.O.O.Q."

Da Vinci in the News
Da Vinci in the News
Every week on my news feed there seems to be a new secret discovery behind Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" or "Mona Lisa." I guess anything to keep art in the headlines...
