Our Place Channel Letters

I was given a photo with one measurement for reference, and client's design preference, and turned it into this... 42" capital letters, black channel letters (approved by the township with my engineering drawing.) I'll have to take a photo at night because it is designed to glow any color from behind the black letters.

Beautiful Park Bench

Really liked this concrete park bench, and the light and its resulting shadows.

Ford Fusion

Back when I first saw the concept for the new Ford Fusion I right away thought of Aston Martin. I don't know cars all that well, but I guess I was correct in my design assumption.

Kenmore Washer/Dryer

I told my brother I loved the look of his old washer and dryer's interface. He thought I was poking fun, but I think they are a fun throwback. Bonus, they still work after all these years.

The Wovel

http://www.thegreenhead.com
Thinking of a time a couple years ago when my friend bought a wovel--the snow shovel on a wheel. It was one of those "what were you thinking" moments.

He was all about setting it up, but the instructions were in german, and he lost his patience. So he returned it (for a $60 shipping fee), and I never had the chance to see him look like a fool.

It looks like it would make a great conversation piece as home decor. "What is that--an Amish buggy wheel; a 19th century tool?" "No, it's a wovel."

BMW i8 Spyder

This only means something to me if it's under $30,000 :) Even then, it's not practical to my lifestyle. Otherwise, looks nice.

More design hobbyists, entrepreneurs use 3-D printing

This technology is amazing. Seems so futuristic, but it's been around for a while.

Planters Nutmobile:
In 2011 Planters kicked off their "Naturally Remarkable" tour,
which espoused the ideals of conservationism to Americans across
the country. Mr. Peanut embarked on this nationwide road trip in
the Planters Nutmobile, which is made of environmentally-conscious
materials and runs on biofuel.

Boston Lobster Feast Car:
Orlando's Boston Lobster Feast Car serves as an apt reminder of
the classic Simpson's episode when Homer adopted Pinchy the lobster
as a pet, accidentally boiled him in the bathtub, and ate him without
sharing, because "he would have wanted it that way." Tough, but fair.

Fold-up car of the future unveiled for Europe

[READ FULL AFP Article]

The "Hiriko," the Basque word for "urban," is an electric two-seater with no doors whose motor is located in the wheels and which folds up like a child's collapsible buggy, or stroller, for easy parking.

The vehicle's four wheels turn at right angles to facilitate sideways parking in tight spaces.
The backers describe the "Hiriko" project as a "European social innovation initiative offering a systematic solution to major societal challenges: urban transportation, pollution and job creation."
